Callfinity CEO Jeff Valentine Named Upstate New York Finalist for 2009 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award
Jeff Valentine, CEO of Callfinity, has been nominated as a finalist for the 2009 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Upstate New York region. On June 19, Ernst & Young will announce the regional award winner. The regional winner will be eligible to win the national award.
Rochester, NY June 17, 2009 - Callfinity, a rapidly growing contact center and conferencing technology provider announced today that Jeff Valentine, the company's President & CEO, has been named a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Upstate New York.
"Entrepreneurs have a tremendous impact on our economy," said Kevin Pickels, Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur of the Year Program Director for Upstate New York, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. "These finalists encourage community growth, development and innovation. We are pleased to honor them."
The awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. A panel of independent judges selected Valentine from more than 100 nominations. At a gala being held June 19, Ernst & Young LLP will announce the regional award winner, who is then eligible to win the national award later this year.
"It's an honor to be nominated and recognized as a finalist for this award," said Valentine. "Since starting Callfinity 10 years ago, we've grown successfully into a trusted provider of call center and conferencing systems, and the entire team here has been responsible for that growth."
Valentine founded Callfinity in 1999 in Boston, Massachusetts, but moved its headquarters to Rochester, New York in 2005 because it was easier to find talented employees and labor costs were nearly 30% lower than other major metropolitan areas. Callfinity has been cash flow positive since 2003, and has recently grown top-line revenue 69% in 2006, 61% in 2007, and 84% in 2008. "We're expecting between 50% and 100% growth in 2009 as well," said Valentine.
